League Rules

A quick guide to our Fall 2026 after-school format. Rules for future seasons will be confirmed before play begins.

01 | 3-on-3

Three players per team play on a half-court.

02 | Game Time

Fall 2026 games used two five-minute halves.

03 | Playing Time

Equal participation and involvement are priorities.

04 | No Dunking

Dunking was not permitted in Fall 2026 games.

05 | Sportsmanship

Respect teammates, opponents, and everyone at the court.

06 | Season Rules

Detailed scoring, possession, and substitution rules are confirmed for each program.

Is NexGen for beginners?

Absolutely! Our recreational programs welcome beginner and intermediate players. We emphasize confidence, teamwork, and enjoying basketball.

Is the league coed?

Yes. NexGen Hoops welcomes boys and girls. Available grade divisions are specified for each program.

How do I register my child?

Click View TeamSnap Programs in the Registration section. Choose an available program and follow the signup instructions when registration is open.

Where are games played?

NexGen operates in San Jose. Our Fall 2026 program was at River Glen. Locations for future programs will be confirmed before registration.

What happens if it rains?

Outdoor sessions may be delayed, shortened, or canceled due to weather or unsafe conditions. Families will receive program-specific updates.

How much does it cost?

Fees vary by program. Pricing and any payment options will be displayed when a new registration opens.

Does my child need experience?

No previous league experience is required for our beginner-friendly programs. Players should be ready to participate, listen, and have fun.

Where can I find player stats?

Confirmed player highlights are posted in the Player Stats section. Future season information will be added as it becomes available.
